 Mangalore: The students of Mangalore University are facing problem in terms of backlog and the educational and professional future of many of them is wasted, said NSUI State Unit General Secretary Anvit Kateel. In the present examination system, if a student in 6th semester has backlog in any subject in 5th semester, he has to wait till the next year's examination to rewrite it and pass. However, if that student gets an opportunity to write the exam of 5th semester subjects in the 6th semester itself, one year of academic and professional future remains. Anvith said in a statement that when a student was asked to write a maximum of 4 subjects if there were remaining subjects after completing his last semester examination, he would be allowed to write a maximum of 4 subjects immediately after the last semester examination.
